Other Remarks:

The sequel to the immensely popular 1st series of the HG-if CCS set in June 2004, was previewed almost immediately upon the release of the 1st set. This time round more of Sakura in various costumes, but whether if this set can oust the popularity of Part 1, you make your judgement yourself.

Complete set:

Sakura
(in Shin Pan Fuku/ Judge's attire)

Much like the first series, this set includes Sakura in 3 different costumes. Hooray to Sakura's fans but yawn for people like me still yearning to see more of the male characters in the series. In this piece, you'll see Sakura dressed up in her almighty judge attire , most probably in the final scenes in the second season.

Pretty nice costume as compared to the other 2 costumes in this set as well as those from Part 1. The overall sculpting for this set is a vast improvement as compared to Part 1. I find the paintjob is pretty clean and decent as well. I love the mini whirlwinds as the base, innovative yet efficient to hold Sakura who's weight might be pulled forward by her staff. I need to apply the "hot-cold" treatment to straighten that staff which is still not that straight even everything is done. Sakura's opened mouth indicates she is doing her usual summoning, most probably for Windy.

Sakura the Almighty Judge

Windy

In what world does the concept team for this gasha team think that fans would actually appreciate the fact that a dubious looking summons from Sakura's cards ,especially in the form of Windy. Bad choise especially when you actually consider this summon taking up a precious slot in this gashapon set.

I assume you should place Windy alongside the above Sakura piece in which it makes more sense as Sakura is commanding the summon as her own base looks like mini whirlwinds as well. This piece is every gasha collectors' nightmare. Boring design, inferior quality, a waste of precious slot for more interesting characters and to top it off some poor sculpting around the base area in which the pegs could not hold properly to Windy.

Sakura
(in Opening costume 2)

I don't remember seeing this costume in the opening theme.. Wait which opening theme? Heck, don't even bother to dulge into such matter now....

Not too bad a piece. We begin with Sakura's face sculpt. She seems engrossed in a thought which is a nice expression which not seen before in the series. The pose is ok but kudos to the clear support to hold Sakura firmly without any tendency to topple over. The paintjob for her costume is very nice, especially that eggshell yellowish color. The crown,m the front scarf and that pair of angelic wings are nice inclusions for this piece.

Sakura
(in Cheerleader Fuku)

A very strong American influence in this CCS series especially when Tomoyo became Maddison in the American dubbed version. YUCKS! Anyway one of Sakura's various extra cirriculum activities has to be cheerleading.

I have neutral opinion over this piece. It is neither irresistable nor a sight for soreeye. Once agian I like to point out that the clear support piece for this piece does it job really well, if only all HG figurines could bear such a crucial feature, display would become a much easier task. Very clear, simple yet attractive paintjob in general.

Sakura the cheerleader

Tomoyo & Kero chan

The only piece with Kero chan as he gleefully followed Tomoy who is deep in her reading, hoping to be rewarded with a slice his favorite strawberry cake.

Not too extravagant in design. Tomoyo is dressed in a typical European style autumn wear with matching headwear. The book she is holding is not pegged to her hands so it might tends to fall off but in rare occasions, under a hard nudge perhaps. I like Tomoyo's large yet dazy eyes which are painted really nicely. Kero chan got that cheeky look but doesn't resemble much of the Kero chan we know from the anime series, sad to note.

Tomoyo & Mini Sakura

Like in the first part, there's a bust piece in this set as well as Tomoyo with her sewing expertise, sewed a Sakura puppet ragdoll and was proud to show to her one and only idol, Sakura of course.

Nice bust figure of Tomoyo. Her expression looks a bit scary tough, to me at least. Perhaps over zealous with her creation. The base supposed to be a tape ruler used commonly in clothes making but the white color made it less obvious of what it supposed to be. The Sakura puppet is ok, especially the face was done up as an exact replica of what a ragdoll supposed to be.

Final Rating:

In some aspects this set is better than it's predecessors but fail to shine as well as the first set in other aspects. I just think there is a limit in how many freaking costumes you can put Sakura in.
