Batman

Iwakura was dead on with the Simon Bisley's style for Batman, in a very twisted and twirled way.  Here we see the Dark Knight launching a leap from a building. The sculpt of his anatomy is very rugged but appealing. I love the rustic paintjob applied in this series. The pose is very dynamic and great for photo-taking while the buildings on the background are twirled in such a way to bland with the movement of Batman but the details are still very intricate, so are the details on the Bat-belt. I love the way the cape flows as well.

Batman

Joker

The arch-nemesis of Batman who is the epitome of insanity well mixed with pure evil, you can read more about him here. Here we see a scenario with Joker outside a money vault, supposedly trying to run off with the loot but caught by the cape crusader, leading the wayward criminal to unleash his artillery, some very interesting once like a giant boxing glove on a spring. Joker has that eerie look with his signature evil grin. The weapons are very nicely done but a couple had difficulties pegging onto his body. He also has the problem pegging on his left sole to the base. The main charm comes from the vault on the backdrop which is exquisitely done with the chemical ooze and the nicely sculpted money sack.

Robin

I supposed Robin, Batman's faithful sidekick which is as recognizable as his mentor and I believe this is the 3rd official Robin, Tim Drake looming above a typical yellow cab of Gotham City, arming himself with a Bat Boomerang, waiting for a chance to pounce on his opponent. I don't really dig the face of Robin. I believe Robin should always have youthful bishounen (pretty boy) look but I don't find here. But I really like the costume with his cape flapping along the breeze. The section of the cab is way cool way to serve as a base. However it would be best if this piece can actually fixed firmly on the base.

Harley Quinn

Spawned off from Batman: The Animated Series, a former psychiatric intern who was doing her research of lunatics in Arkham Asylum, Harleen Quinzel met and fell in love with the number 1 inmate there, Joker. This resulted in her setting him free, turning herself into crime to emulate her lover/idol and willingly became his minion. My favorite piece of this set have a malicious Harley Quinn standing beside a rocky road to the gate of hell. Firstly I love Harley with a mischievous pose, a very cool looking pistol and the best facial sculpt of the lot. The rocky backdrop is very cool as well, as you will see a nicely sculpted devil head as well as grim looking skull embedded in the middle. The stairways to the hell's gate definitely makes me shudders in fear.

Catwoman

One of the most original sex siren in comic scene as well as a constant adversary cum partner to Batman, her presence in the series is as indispensable as Joker or Robin. Well when sexiness is supposed to the essence to Catwoman, I don't feel a trace of it in this piece which I deemed simply disappointing to annotate Catwoman . Selina Kyle seems to be hanging on a shaky ledge on a building while making her escape, startling a black cat along the way. I don't really like the costume here and the pose, looks like she is in those industrial period-Rocketeer scenario. The cat looks like a phantom to me, poorly sculpted. I can't really relate to the buildings at the base as well even though they look nice.

Batmobile

The secret piece in this set is none other than perhaps the most lethal weapon Batman possesses, his Batmobile. This supposed to be the version seen in earlier Batman movies as well as in the animated series not the tumbler in "Batman Begins". To begin I'm no expert with automobiles, so I just feel this Batmobile is classily made with the gothic black chassis. I really like that stone-slabs pavement which hold the Batmobile in place.

Final Rating:

Surely has the high quality of what Kotobukiya One Coin figurine series and Iwakura sensei did a superb rendition of the characters from a world famous comic franchise. This is also the inaugural set to be void of any color variant which really helps better the assortment and thus make One Coin series more affordable to collect.
